DAY 01 Munich
A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival airport, following by a transfer to your hotel for freshen up and a welcome reception with your Tour Director. Enjoy then a sightseeing tour of Munich's highlights, like the Marienplatz with its landmark and imposing Church of our Lady, the remarkable City Hall with a mechanical carillon, the infamous Hofbraeuhaus, the former Olympic Grounds and Nymphenburg Palace with a visit of King Ludwig's unique Horse Carriage Museum. Rest of the afternoon is at your leisure. Tonight, you are invited for a special dinner at one of Munich's most famous restaurants with local music and folklore entertainment.

DAY 02 Munich - Oberammergau - Castle Neuschwanstein - Lindau/Lake Constance
The morning starts with a beautiful drive into the Bavarian Alps with our first stop at small town Oberammergau, home of the world-famous Passion Plays. See its colorful painted houses, woodcarving workshops and its Passion Plays Theater with a seating for more than 5.000 spectators. Within a short distance arrive at Hohenschwangau to visit King Ludwig's fairy tale Castle Neuschwanstein, built 1869. The inside tour will show a number of rooms and apartments like an incomparable bed room of fine wood-carvings, others of Romanesque and Byzantine sanctuary, an artificial grotto, the Singers Hall with fine candelabra and chandeliers and dream-like rooms reflecting themes of Richard Wagner's operas. Following a lunch break down in the village, the route leads further west to Bavaria's medieval Lindau on 3-country Lake Constance, share its fertile shores with Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Upon hotel check-in, an easy walking tour of this most car-free and picturesque peninsula will show you beautiful half-timbered burgher houses, the Town Hall with facade paintings of the 15th century and its old lighthouse and lion monument commanding the entrance of Lindau's port.

DAY 03 Lindau - Rhine Falls - Black Forest
An eventful day awaits you with a ferry ride crossing over the lake from Meersburg to Konstanz and soon arrive at worth seeing town of Stein on the Rhine banks in Switzerland. This sightseeing tour will show you really some of the oldest Swiss burgher houses with stepped gables and colorful facade paintings depict scenes of its town's history. Next stop will be at Schaffhausen to view the river tumbles over the famous Rhine Falls. From here back into Germany to Titisee amidst the fabled Black Forest and situated on a picturesque lake of natural beauty. Shop for unique cuckoo-clocks or just browse around before we arrive near Freiburg, the lovely Glottertal valley for dinner and overnight.

DAY 04 Black Forest - Baden-Baden - Heidelberg
A morning orientation drive of Freiburg's university city will stop at its landmark Minster of the 13th century, one of Germany's greatest cathedrals of Gothic architecture. Then its on to Baden-Baden, Europe's most luxurious spa resort. An easy walking tour includes the world-famous Casino and Kurgarten, which has welcomed visitors like the King of Prussia, Napoleon III Bismarck and Queen Victoria. Following a lunch break we head further north and arrive during the afternoon today's destination Heidelberg on the River Neckar. Freshen up at your hotel and join us on a sightseeing tour of this beautiful town to see its Old University of the 14th century, the Knight Mansion from 1592 and Marktplatz. Drive up the castle hill and visit its museum to admire the Great Wine Vat with a capacity of about 50.000 gallons! From the castle terrace enjoy a view down to the roofs of the old city and the River Neckar before we return to our hotel in time for dinner.

DAY 05 Heidelberg - Romantic Road - Nuremberg
We leave this morning Germany's heart of Romanticism and stop first at Dinkelsbuehl on the Romantic Road. You will see its medieval ramparts and watchtowers still surrounding the town since the 14th and 15th century. The old market place and St. George's Church of 1450 and Deutsches Haus, a most attractive half-timbered building of the same century. After a break, we leave for near town Rothenburg with our next stop for lunch. Picturesque situated on the River Tauber this walled town appears also with ancient towers, gates and fountains, almost untouched since the Thirty Years War. See on a walking tour its old Town Hall of both Renaissance and Gothic style, the Ratsherrentrinkstube with mechanical outside figures, St. James Church with a beautiful altar by woodcarver Tilman Riemenschneider and medieval restaurant building Baumeisterhaus of 1596. From here our route continues to Nuremberg.

DAY 06 Nuremberg - Wuerzburg - Ruedesheim
This morning starts with a city sightseeing tour of Nuremberg, dominated by the castle Kaiserburg. City famous for its ginger bread, sausages, its annual Toy Fair but also of gloomy history and scene in 1945 of the International Military Tribunal. You are going to visit the old town quarter and its restored 15th century Albrecht Duerer Haus, the Church of our Lady and market square with its Town Hall and most beautiful Fountain Monument of 16th century . Time is yours to stroll around before we leave Nuremberg for Wuerzburg on the River Main with an orientation drive. We stop at the Residenz and view one of Germany's biggest Baroque palaces, built about 260 years ago for the prince-bishops. Following a lunch break, our route continues to Ruedesheim on the Rhine River. Join us for dinner tonight at one of the wine restaurants on famous Drosselgasse.

DAY 07 Ruedesheim - Rhine River Cruise - Moselle Valley - Cologne
A most scenic tour of landscape is waiting for you this morning as we board a steamer for a Rhine River Cruise, passing castles crowning hills, fascinating medieval towns on both sides and the legendary Loreley Rock where Mermaids are said to have lured sailors to their death. You disembark at St. Goarshausen and continue by motor-coach to the lovely Moselle River Valley. For a lunch break we stop at popular Cochem amidst numerous vineyards and dominated by its fortress surrounded by turrets and pinnacles. Perhaps you buy here a bottle of good Moselle wine before we continue our journey by way of Koblenz with its commanding Citadel Ehrenbreitstein. Arrive at the Rhineland's capital Cologne. A hotel check-in follows an orientation city tour with a stop near the Rhine river quays at its almost 800 years old gigantic Cathedral of Gothic style and landmark of Cologne. See its beautiful stained glass windows, the 10th century cross Gerokreuz, magnificent shrine masterpiece of the 12th century, high up 14 impressive statues of Apostles and much more.

DAY 08 Cologne - Hanover - Hamburg
Your morning drive leads on the German autobahn by way of the industrial Rhur River district with some stops en route and lunch break in Hanover, capital of Lower Saxony and site of the annual International Fair. Later, we continue further north to one of Europe's biggest ports Hamburg for overnight. Upon check-in, dinner will be taken tonight at its famous amusement quarter of St. Pauli where bars, dance halls and restaurants line the colorful illuminated street Reeperbahn, inviting visitors from all over the world.

Day 09 Hamburg - Harbor Cruise - Berlin
Start the morning with a city tour of Hamburg on the River Elbe with a drive along the inner and outer Alster River, lined by counting houses, boat and ship compa-nies and stop at the Rathausmarkt with its magnificent City Hall and Renaissance clock tower. Spend some free time at the landing stage Jungfernstieg with a good view of the city's skyline. - Later, you are booked on a harbor cruise watching boats, ferries and cruise ships passing by. Following a lunch break, we leave Hamburg by way of Neuruppin amidst a lovely lake district with a stop and soon arrive at Berlin, its new capital of Germany again.

DAY 10 Berlin
The sightseeing tour of megacity Berlin will show you all highlights as we drive on the sweeping avenues Kaiserdamm and Unter den Linden with a stop at its landmark Brandenburg Gate, atop its famous Victory Quadriga, the gate which was separated from West by the Wall. Close by see its former Reichstag building, today seat of the German Parliament. Visit Checkpoint Charlie, up to 1989 crossing point between East And West Berlin and site of former political events and tragedies as well. You pass Kaiser-Wilhelm-Memorial-Church, a reminder of World War II destruction, before you stop at lively Kurfuerstendamm with miles of cafes, restaurants and shops. Following ample time on your own, the city tour leads to the east part of Berlin to visit the world's famous Pergamon Museum of Oriental and Roman Antiquities, to see its magnificent Pergamon Altar of Zeuss and Athena from 180 BC, the Market Gate from Miletus and much more of interest!
Rest of the afternoon is free to do as you please. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner and a drawing of valuable goods with everyone winning a present.
DAY 11 Berlin - Last day of tour
After another good breakfast and during the morning, transfer to Berlin Airport where your tour of Germany's worth seeing highlights ends, say "goodbye" to the Old World and we wish you a happy return!
