DAY 01 Frankfurt / Offenbach Arrive Frankfurt Airport and transfer to your hotel in Offenbach. Afternoon enjoy an orientation drive of Offenbach and see its old and restored quarter of Frankfurt with half-timbered patrician homes, followed by a welcome cocktail with your Tour Director later at the hotel (4 nights-stay at Hotel Novotel).
DAY 02 Excursion: Heidelberg - Black Forest - Baden-Baden After breakfast a morning drive takes you to the university city of Heidelberg with its dominant 600-years old castle, right at the beautiful Neckar River. Enjoy here splendid views overlooking this town and some free time before continuing further south to Black Forest and Baden-Baden, Europe's most luxurious spa resort. The walking tour will show the lovely Kur-Garten and the world's famous and elegant Casino. Later this afternoon return to your hotel in Offenbach. Meals: B.
DAY 03 Excursion: Wuerzburg - Rothenburg & Dinkelsbuehl on the Romantic Road This morning we journey to historic Wuerzburg where views are featured on an orientation drive, like the Fortress Marienburg and former Prince-Bishop's Residence, a masterpiece of German Baroque architecture. Continuing to charming Rothenburg and Dinkelsbuehl on beautiful Romantic Road to admire half-timbered houses lining cobbled streets, walls and towers of the 16th century still preserved in its original style. The walking tour in Rothenburg will show the famous altar piece by woodcarver Tilman Riemenschneider and the lively market square with its Glockenspiel. Free time for exploring before we return to Offenbach. Meals: B.
DAY 04 Excursion: Ruedesheim & Rhine River cruise Today you travel to the heart of Germany's wine country. In Ruedesheim at the Rhine River you will be impressed by its picturesque streets and especially by the Drosselgasse, lined with ornate wine bars to invite you for a tasting. From here board a river boat for a leisure Rhine cruise downstream passing pretty villages, terraced vine-yards and atop medieval castles. Listen to the story of Loreley Rock, where mermaids are said to have lured sailors to their death. In St. Goarshausen you step ashore to visit its old town center or just stroll along the Rhine promenades. Meals: B.
DAY 05 Offenbach - Last day of tour After breakfast it's time to leave this Romantic Tour and transfer to Frankfurt Airport - or just extend your stay with us! Meals: B.
