Starting in Germany's old cathedral city Cologne and enjoy first an upstream cruise passing quaint villages, legendary castles crowning hills on both banks and the famous Loreley Rock. You cruise through the romantic Moselle River Valley along hillsides and vineyards with a spectacular scenery and explore medieval towns with its narrow streets and alleys, halftimbered homes and Germany's greatest Citadel, commanding the confluence of both the Rhine and Moselle River - before you cruise back to Cologne. DAY 01 Cologne
A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival Cologne Airport by your Tour Director following transfer to your hotel. - Early afternoon participate in a city sightseeing tour to the lively quays at the Rhine River and visit its almost 800-years old mighty Cathedral of Gothic style and ever since the landmark of Cologne. See among other art and treasures its magnificent shrine, a master piece of the 12th century, impressive statues of the Apostles, the Gerokreuz, a crucifix of the 10th century and beautiful stained-glass windows. - Nearby, spend some free time in the pedestrian zone with numerous shops, boutiques, department stores and outside-cafes before we return to our hotel in time for a welcome reception and dinner.

DAY 02 Cologne – Bonn – Andernach
After a good breakfast at your hotel the morning is yours to do as you please. Around noon you board your floating hotel MPS-Esmeralda for your Rhine & Moselle River cruise. - Enjoy the beautiful riverside upstream scenery as you pass Germany's former capital Bonn, stretches of deep forest of theWesterwald region and its different-shaped Siebengebirge of seven hills. - During the evening arrive at Andernach, an old Rhine River town with a fortified gateway, castle ruins and a Parish church of the 13th century. - After dinner tonight on board your Tour Director takes you on an easy orientation walk.

DAY 03 Andernach – Loreley Rock – Boppard
During the morning we depart Andernach and cruise through scenic Rhine valleys to the legendary Loreley Rock, where mermaids are said to have lured sailors to their death. - On the level with the tiny village Oberwesel your ship now turns around downstream and gliding byway of picturesque town St.Goarshausen with its 13th century fortress Rheinfels. Along vineyards and further fascinating villages you arrive at Boppard during the afternoon. - A sightseeing of this early Roman fortified settlement will show you its Carmelite church of Gothic style with an interior of fine 15th century work of art. See also delightful half-timbered houses and later enjoy a pleasant stroll on the lovely Rhine Promenade.

DAY 04 Boppard –Moselle Valley – Cochem
This morning your ship leaves Boppard and glides through one of the huge Rhine bends with a good view to Castle Marksburg. Passing the Rhine village Lahnstein with its Castle Lahneck, overlooking the entrance to the Lahn River Valley and see across remains of Castle Stolzenfels, built right against the mountain slope. At Koblenz and confluence of both rivers we continue through deep carved Moselle valleys and enjoy an everchanging scenery of great vineyards, passing medieval towns on both banks, quaint churches and castles crowning hills. - Early afternoon arrive at Cochem, the wine tasting center and dominated by its medieval Castle Reichsburg on a hill. Join your Tour Director on a little walk to see its interior furnished in stately manner and be invited at a typical tavern for a wine-tasting. Stroll the picturesque narrow streets and alleys and view its fortified gates and enchanting half-timbered houses.

DAY 05 Cochem –Moselle Valley – Koblenz
Romantic scenery unfolds again this morning as you cruise along wooded slopes, villages andWinningen, one of Germany's largest wine-growing area. - Around noon arrive at Koblenz where the Moselle River is flowing into the Rhine.We stop here, first to join in a sightseeing tour of this 2.000-years old city, originally founded by the Romans and known for its summer festival which ends in the Rhine being set aflame with floodlights and fireworks. - You will step on the Deutsches Eck, marking the junction of the Rhine and Moselle with a close view of the town. Visit St. Castor Church, founded during the 9th century in Romanesque style. - At the old city center see also the 14th century Church of our Lady with Baroque belfries, carved keystone ornaments and aGothic masterpiece chancel. Not far the remarkable Town Hall and its Government Building, a former castle in neo-classical style of the last Elector. - Then visit imposing Ehrenbreitstein Citadel, built as a fortress in the 10th century and dominating the confluence of both rivers. Go up by chair lift and see its museum with a prehistoric collection of the Rhineland and enjoy from the terrace of this powerful fortification a panoramic view of Koblenz, its promenades along the river banks of Rhine and Moselle and note in distance the romantic castles of Lahneck and Stolzenfels.

DAY 06 Koblenz – Seven Mountains – Cologne
You depart Koblenz and enjoy the lovely scenery passing the romantic Castle Rheineck and the Seven Mountain range, a group of volcanic hills overlooking the Rhine. - Toward noon arrive back at Cologne, capital of the Rhineland and disembark. - Transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. - Tonight join us for a farewell dinner at the hotel and participate in a drawing of valuable gifts with everyone winning!

DAY 07 Cologne – Last day of tour
Following breakfast and during the morning its time to say „Auf Wiedersehen” to your Tour Director and to this scenic river cruise of the Rhine and Moselle before your motor-coach takes you to Cologne Airport (on request also to Duesseldorf or Frankfurt) for your return flight - or why not extend your stay with us!
