| | DAY 01 Nice
A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival Nice Airport by your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel. - An afternoon sightseeing drive of Nice includes its lively Promenade des Anglais the old city town Vieux with a stop to see the great Cathedral.Walk here on Rue Saleya, lined with boutiques and antique shops. - An easy side trip leads you to the medieval town of Peillon to view its fortification and landmark, the Chapel of the White Penitents. - Following a break return to your hotel in Nice and join your Tour Director this evening for a welcome reception (5 overnights at Hotel Westminster). | | | | | | DAY 02 Excursion: Cannes&Monte Carlo
Today's morning starts with a beautiful drive along the lovely beaches of Cote d' Azur and stops first at Antibes with a spectacular view of its mountain range. - Your tour continues along the coastline to Cannes, one of the Riviera's most attractive resorts and famous for its annual Film Festival. You will see the old town quarter, the Festival Hall and its port for most luxurious boats and yachts. Enjoy your lunch break and some restful time on the lakeside promenade. - Then your excursion takes you to Monaco's famed Monte Carlo, Europe's last constitutional autocracy. Your sightseeing of this glittering principality will include the Palais du Prince situated on a rock to see the guard and its magnificent state rooms, dating back to the 13th century furnished with priceless antiques. See the Art Gallery, the Prince's stamp collection and visit the Cathedral with tombs of the former Princes and the one of Grace Kelly inscribed „Gracia Patricia”. After this impressive sight travel on Boulevard Albert along the quaint harbor to the famous Casino of Monte Carlo, also center of social life and gala parties. Enjoy your stay at the Casino, surrounded by a delightful garden and the inside with its artistic marble works, mirrors and crystal chandeliers. Later, return to Nice in time for dinner at a selected local restaurant.
Meals: B&D. | | | | | | DAY 03 Excursion: San Remo – Monte Bignone – Diano Castello – Albenga
Another lovely excursion is waiting today as your motorcoach takes you to San Remo. See its elegant seaside promenade and the old town center with houses of medieval appearance and Madonna della Costa. - We continue with our route inland on a scenic road up to Monte Bignone, a pine-covered mountain allows you from the top an extensive view as far as Monaco. - From here your drive leads to near Taggia with a most beautiful setting amidst vineyards and olive woods. See an old palace and the 15th century Church of San Domenico with a fine painting collection inside. - Following a lunch break we motor on Via Aurelia along the coast to Diano Marina to visit here its 12th century Castello, a remarkable chapel of the former Malta Knights. - Time is yours before we next arrive at fortified Albenga, the Riviera's oldest town of Roman architecture. At Piazza San Michele visit its 800 years old Gothic Cathedral. - During the afternoon we return to our hotel in Nice.

| | | | | | DAY 04 Excursion: Aix-En-Provence – Arles –Marseille
Your today's excursion leads into the scenic French Provence, to the lovely southern region of the Rhone Valley. Our motorcoach stops first at Aix-En-Provence to see its magnificent aristocratic homes, spacious avenues, splendid fountains and visit the Painting Atelier of Paul Cezanne. - After a lunch break we leave for Arles, known for its bullfights taking place during the summer at the ancient Roman Amphitheater. You will see also the Roman Obelisk and the 12th century Church of St.-Trophime, a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture. - Then it's on to Marseille, one of the largest harbor on the Mediterranean Sea. An orientation drive will show you this bustling seaport, crowded streets and markets, the famous avenue La Canabiere and Chateau d' If from where Dumas' legendary Count of Monte Christo is supposed to have escaped. - Ample time is yours to shop or browse around before we leave Marseille for Nice with a stop en route for dinner at a selected restaurant to allow more time for sightseeing during the day.

This morning in Nice is at your complete disposal. - Early afternoon depart for your excursion byway of St. Raphael along the oceanfront, red cliffs and sandy beaches to St. Tropez, the fashionable resort for the rich and beauty. - Following an orientation drive time is yours to enjoy Riviera's playground number one. - Upon a restful stay return to your hotel in Nice. - Dinner tonight is a festive occasion which includes a drawing of valuable goodswith everyone winning a present. We are sure you will enjoy this last evening with us at the Cote d' Azur!
